During this trip, we will be diving with Key Dives in Islamorada and Amoray Dive Center in Key Largo and will also work with Dr. David Vaughan and Plant a Million Corals at his land based nursery. Key Dives and Amoray Dive Center both support the charitable foundation, I.CARE (Islamorada Conservation and Restoration Education)
Don’t delay signing up for this trip! The first 8 coral certified divers to commit to the trip will get 2 free dives thanks to I.CARE!
During the trip, you’ll dive into hands-on coral restoration by assisting with various tasks such as maintenance and cleaning coral nurseries, outplanting new corals and sponges, monitoring coral outplanted sites and removing coral predators. Divers new to coral restoration work are required to take a certification course during the trip, prior to the restoration dives.
The Florida Reef Tract is the only reef system in the continental United States, and your participation will directly support efforts to protect and preserve this essential ecosystem. Click here for all the trip details and sign up and deposit information.
